SCDS Covid-19 Policies

Latest update: 11/18/2024

The policies below are intended to balance our desire to dance with the safety of our community, including both our dancers and the wider public.

Vaccination

COVID vaccination and boosters are highly recommended but not required.

Masks

For English Country Dances at the Roseville Masonic Lodge facility (1st Sunday) – Good quality, well-fitting masks are recommended but not required on the dance floor and other indoor spaces.

For English Dances at the YLI facility (3rd Sunday) – Good quality, well-fitting masks are recommended but not required on the dance floor and other indoor spaces.

For Contra Dances – Good quality, well-fitting masks are recommended but not required on the dance floor and other indoor spaces.

Food and Drink

Hydration is important while dancing, and dancers are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.  If masks are required at the dance, the dancer may step six feet away from other dancers and briefly move the mask aside to drink water inside the hall, or go outside to drink.

Dancers are encouraged to bring snacks to share with the community. If masks are required at the dance, dancers must step outside to eat.

If masks are not required, dancers may eat in the area near the food table or outside.  We would appreciate your efforts to avoid spilling food or water on the dance floor.

For all venues, if you are feeling ill, we would appreciate you staying home and joining us at another event when you’re feeling well.
